Behind the scenes with pixar

What I read today was that Pixar has the most unusual creative process. Most of the time, a studio assembles a cast of freelance professionals to work on a single project and cuts them loose when the picture is done. The animators and director gather in a small screen room filled with comfy couches. Every few months, the director each Pixar film meets with the brain trust, a group of senior creative staff. Ideas are sometimes easy to get for the Pixar movies, but sometimes they get scrapped and a new idea replaces that one. By day 533, the story board is moving and each character is has been defined by 1,000 avars.
Rendering is well under way by day 907. The average frame takes about Seven hours to render. At day 1070, the movie is mostly done. The team has completed all of the 25 of the films sequences. The last day has arrived and the before the film is released, the audio of the movie is sent to Skywalker to combined dialog, music, and sound effects. Every nuance is adjusted and readjusted. There are 49,516 of sketches in the movie’s story reel, which are used as a kind of rough draft of the film. Color scripts are used to make the storyboard more look like you’re watching the actual movie. Props are used to fill in the space while the film is being animated on the computer.
